Itinerary on the 4 Day Llactapata Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu Town

We leave Cusco by van in the morning to Ollantaytambo for almost two hours; then we take train to Aguas Calientes. You have free afternoon in order to walk around the Machu Picchu town and enjoy the hot spring pools

Day 2: Machu Picchu Town – Hydroelectric – Llactapata

The day that we have to explore around Machu Picchu mountains, in order to appreciate the meaning of magnefic Machu Picchu, white quartz city in a distance of 5Km

Our train leaves Aguas Calientes town at 06:45 am to Hydroelectric for 25 mnts approx, then you take a van for 1 hour to Lucmabamba village where you start hiking all the way up for three hours to Llactapata the lunch spot also camp site (Spectacular place to see Machu Picchu)

The panoramic lunch place is amazing to enjoy the view of Machu Picchu in your free afternoon in Llactapata which is in the bottom part of Salkantay snow capped mountain, the perfect place to have your unforgettable trip in one of the four new wonders of the world

Day 3: Llactapata – Aguas Calientes Town

We will wake up directly to see Machu Picchu citadel, afterwards we will have the organic breakfast in order to continue with our hike the 2 two hours and half down hill hike to Hidroelectrica for lunch, right after lunch you will hike from hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes for three more hours approx.

The day is finished in Aguas Calientes after hiking the 14 km on the train truck since the camping site Llactapata

Day 4: Machu Picchu Pueblo – Machu Picchu Citadel – Cusco

We have the breakfast in our hotel, after we will take the first bus from Machu Picchu Pueblo to Machu Picchu Citadel for 25 minutes by bus, which is located in the hight amazon jungle «Ceja de selva»

Once you are in the ancient city of the Incas your tour will carry out the walking tour in Machu Picchu for two hours approx. right after your Machu Picchu tour you will have the extra time by yourselves, where you can explore the Machu Picchu ruins by your own

After your Machu Picchu tour you have to get back to Machu Picchu town by bus for your lunch, after lunch you must go to be thirty minutes in advance at the train station before your train leaves to Ollantaytambo, finally another 2 more hours by bus to Cusco city in order to finalize our trip on the Main Square or in your hotel.

In this trek you get to see Machu Picchu from different corners.
