Code of Conduct Against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents

In compliance with Law No. 28251 – Law Against Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, which establishes criminal offenses related to the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents within the tourism sector, Happy Gringo Tours formally adopts and upholds the required commitments applicable to all tourism service providers in Peru.

Our company maintains a firm and zero-tolerance policy toward any form of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism.

This Code of Conduct applies to our legal representatives, directors, managers, employees, contractors, suppliers, and any parties associated with the provision of tourism services.


Institutional Commitments

Happy Gringo Tours commits to:

• Refrain from offering, promoting, or including — explicitly or implicitly — any tourism program or activity that involves or facilitates the sexual exploitation of children or adolescents.

• Refrain from providing tourists with information about locations where commercial sexual exploitation of minors is coordinated or practiced.

• Refrain from directing or facilitating tourists to establishments or venues where sexual exploitation of minors occurs.

• Not provide transportation, vehicles, or tourism services that could be used for purposes of sexual exploitation or abuse of minors.

• Prevent the entry of minors into tourism establishments when there is risk of sexual exploitation or abuse.

• Implement internal measures to ensure that no employee, contractor, or supplier promotes or facilitates sexual activities involving minors.

• Report to MINCETUR (Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru) and other competent authorities any known or suspected cases of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.

• Establish safe and confidential internal reporting channels.

• Develop and communicate prevention policies with employees and service providers.

• Provide ongoing training to staff regarding the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of minors in tourism.

• Inform clients about the legal consequences in Peru related to the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors.

• Display this Code of Conduct visibly within company premises and digital platforms.
