Next, we explore Qenqo, a mysterious archeological site featuring chambers once used for Inca rituals and sacrifices. The tour continues to Pucapucara ruins, an ancient Inca control post notable for its reddish stones.
It ends at Tambomachay, a calm place known for its flowing water. Inca royalty once relaxed and meditated here.

Happy Gringo Tours can cancel the tour up to 24 hours before it starts. This may happen due to bad weather, like landslides or floods, or safety issues from strikes. In such cases, you'll receive a full refund.

No refunds are available if you decide to leave the tour early. However, our experienced tour guides will assist with emergencies, including altitude sickness.

We will pick you up from your hotel/hostel at 01:00 PM. Our first stop will be the iconic Cathedral of Cusco and its chapels, altars etc.
Following the tour, we will walk to the temple of Coricancha (The temple of the sun). Here, you will see the beauty of Incan architecture. You will also notice the impact of Catholic influence.
The Spanish colonists built the Church of Santo Domingo here. They demolished the temple and used its foundations.
This is one of the numerous sites where the Spanish incorporated Inca stonework into the structure of a colonial building.
From the temple of Coricancha, we will drive you to the four archaeological sites around the city. Sacsayhuaman, with its incredible stones, each one weighing more than 100 tons. Here you will have an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the history and culture. You will also discover the meaning and importance of this iconic place.
Then, just five minutes away from Sacsayhuaman, we will reach Qenqo and see its magical altar. After this, we will visit the archaeological sites of Puka Pukara (Red Fort) and Tambomachay (Temple of Water).
Ending our tour, we will return to the city centre (San Francisco square or Regocijo square).
