Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Poroy - Aguas Calientes

Start the day in the morning transfer to the train station of Poroy. From here, passengers board the Hiram Bingham train to “Hot Springs Town” following the Sacred Valley of the Incas with majestic views, then take short bus journey to Santuary Lodge where you stay the night. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy free afternoon very close to Machu Picchu or explore the Lost Citadel of the Incas in the mountains.

Day 2Machu Picchu - Return to Cusco

Rise early this morning and enjoy your breakfast. The tour guide will pick you up from your hotel this morning to begin the short walk to the gates of Machu Picchu, where you have the opportunity to see the sunrise. After entering the Citadel you will begin the guided walking tour approximately for 2 hours. After this amazing experience, enjoy some free time to explore the spectacular city at leisure. This afternoon bus back to Aguas Calientes to meet your guide for lunch. You will then be transferred to the train station and begin the journey back to Cusco via Poroy.
