Your journey begins with scheduled pick-up from Cusco and transfer to our peaceful retreat center located in a quiet natural setting outside the city. The change of environment is intentional — stepping away from urban noise allows your body and mind to begin slowing down.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our facilitators and ceremonial team. After settling into your accommodation, we gather for an opening circle. During this orientation session, we explain the structure of the retreat, safety guidelines, energetic preparation, and the importance of intention-setting. Each participant is invited to share (if they wish) their purpose for being here.
In the afternoon, we begin with a gentle cleansing ritual using medicinal water and ancestral techniques designed to prepare your energetic field. This process helps clear emotional and mental blockages before working with the plant medicine.
As night falls, we enter the ceremonial space for the Ayahuasca ceremony. The environment is calm, protected, and guided by experienced facilitators. The ceremony includes:
Opening prayers and energetic protection
Sacred chants (icaros)
Individual guidance throughout the experience
Support for emotional release and inner exploration
The ceremony typically lasts several hours. Participants may experience introspection, emotional cleansing, visions, or deep reflection. After the ceremony, time is given for rest and quiet integration.
Overnight at the retreat center.
The second day begins slowly, allowing your body to integrate the previous night’s experience. After a light breakfast (according to the retreat diet), we gather for a morning sharing circle. This space allows participants to reflect on their Ayahuasca journey in a supportive and confidential environment.
Later in the morning, we begin preparation for the San Pedro (Wachuma) ceremony. Unlike Ayahuasca, Wachuma works in a gentler, heart-centered way and is typically experienced during daylight.
The ceremony may include:
Breathwork or guided meditation
Intention reconnection
Sacred music and natural silence
Walking meditation in nature
San Pedro is traditionally known as the “heart-opening medicine.” Many participants describe feelings of clarity, gratitude, emotional release, and connection with nature.
Throughout the afternoon, time is given for integration, journaling, rest, or quiet contemplation.
In the evening, we conduct a Pachamama (Mother Earth) offering ceremony. This ritual expresses gratitude to nature and symbolically grounds the insights received during the retreat.
Overnight at the retreat center.
The final day focuses on grounding and integration.
We begin with a morning sharing circle where participants can reflect on the overall experience of both plant medicines. Facilitators help translate symbolic experiences into practical insights for daily life.
A gratitude ritual is performed to close the energetic space opened during the retreat formally. This ceremony honors the plants, the ancestral traditions, and each participant’s personal process.
The final integration session provides guidance on:
Post-retreat diet recommendations
Emotional processing
Practical tools for continued growth
How to integrate insights into everyday life
After lunch, we prepare for departure. Transportation is provided back to Cusco, arriving in the afternoon.
Copy of your passport or valid ID
Comfortable clothing for ceremony and rest
Water bottle
Journal and pen for reflections
Sunscreen and sun hat
Personal medication (if required)
Cash in Peruvian soles for extras
Open heart and intention to heal
(1 Ayahuasca Ceremony + Ancestral Andean Ritual Practices)
Our 1-Day Ayahuasca Retreat combines one traditional Ayahuasca ceremony with complementary ancestral Andean rituals designed to prepare, protect, and guide your spiritual journey.
For the best experience, we recommend following a preparation diet for at least three days before the ceremony. This includes avoiding:
Alcohol
Recreational drugs
Cigarettes
Red meat
Sexual activity
Processed or heavy foods
Certain medications (consult us in advance)
The cleaner your body and mind are before the ceremony, the deeper and clearer your experience may be. We will provide full preparation guidelines after booking, including important information about contraindications and health considerations.
Your safety is our priority. All participants must complete a health screening form before confirmation.
As part of the preparation, we offer a natural cleansing process using volcanic mineral water, traditionally used to support detoxification.
This gentle cleanse helps eliminate toxins and prepare the body for plant medicine. The process typically lasts between one and two hours. Ideally, it is done one day before the ceremony, but it can also be done on the same day, as early as possible.
Participants should avoid eating at least four hours before the cleansing process.
On the day of the ceremony, participants remain fasting (light hydration is allowed unless otherwise instructed).
Pickup is arranged from our meeting point in Cusco.
We then travel approximately one hour outside the city to our retreat temple. This natural environment provides privacy, silence, and energetic harmony for the ceremony.
For travelers who prefer a more accessible option, we also offer ceremonies at our retreat space within Cusco city (evening sessions).
