How Is the Ceremony Conducted?

(1 Ayahuasca Ceremony + Ancestral Andean Ritual Practices)

Our 1-Day Ayahuasca Retreat combines one traditional Ayahuasca ceremony with complementary ancestral Andean rituals designed to prepare, protect, and guide your spiritual journey.

Preparation Before the Ceremony

For the best experience, we recommend following a preparation diet for at least three days before the ceremony. This includes avoiding:

  • Alcohol

  • Recreational drugs

  • Cigarettes

  • Red meat

  • Sexual activity

  • Processed or heavy foods

  • Certain medications (consult us in advance)

The cleaner your body and mind are before the ceremony, the deeper and clearer your experience may be. We will provide full preparation guidelines after booking, including important information about contraindications and health considerations.

Your safety is our priority. All participants must complete a health screening form before confirmation.

Detoxification Process (Optional but Recommended)

As part of the preparation, we offer a natural cleansing process using volcanic mineral water, traditionally used to support detoxification.

This gentle cleanse helps eliminate toxins and prepare the body for plant medicine. The process typically lasts between one and two hours. Ideally, it is done one day before the ceremony, but it can also be done on the same day, as early as possible.

Participants should avoid eating at least four hours before the cleansing process.

The Day of the Ayahuasca Ceremony

On the day of the ceremony, participants remain fasting (light hydration is allowed unless otherwise instructed).

Pickup is arranged from our meeting point in Cusco.

We then travel approximately one hour outside the city to our retreat temple. This natural environment provides privacy, silence, and energetic harmony for the ceremony.

For travelers who prefer a more accessible option, we also offer ceremonies at our retreat space within Cusco city (evening sessions).

The Ceremony Experience

The Ayahuasca ceremony is guided by experienced facilitators and traditional healers. It includes:

  • Intention setting

  • Energetic protection rituals

  • Sacred chants (icaros)

  • Guided spiritual support

  • Space for reflection and integration

Each person’s journey is unique. Some experience emotional release, deep introspection, clarity, or powerful spiritual insight.

After the ceremony, time is given for rest and integration before returning to Cusco.

Important Note

Ayahuasca is a sacred Amazonian plant medicine traditionally used for spiritual healing and self-discovery. While many participants describe profound personal growth, it is not a recreational activity.

This experience is not suitable for individuals with certain medical or psychological conditions. Full medical disclosure is required before participation.
