Colca Canyon tour: 2 days from Arequipa

Explore one of the most spectacular natural wonders in South America on this Colca Canyon 2-Day Tour from Arequipa. This experience allows you to discover the stunning landscapes of the Colca Valley at a relaxed pace, witness the majestic Andean condor in flight, visit traditional Andean villages, and enjoy optional hot springs surrounded by volcanoes.

Spending one night in Chivay gives you more time to acclimatize, explore, and truly appreciate the beauty and culture of the Colca region.

Your adventure begins early in the morning with hotel pick-up in Arequipa. We head north toward the Colca Valley, passing through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas.

We stop at the Patapampa Volcano Viewpoint (4,910 m), the highest point of the journey, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of volcanoes such as Misti, Chachani, and Ampato.

Upon arrival in Chivay, you will have free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, you may choose to relax at the La Calera hot springs, surrounded by impressive mountain scenery.

After breakfast, we travel to the highlight of the tour: Cruz del Condor. Here you will admire the Colca Canyon's vast depth and observe the majestic Andean condor gliding above the cliffs.

On the return journey, we stop in the traditional villages of Maca and Yanque, known for their colonial churches and cultural traditions.

After lunchtime in Chivay (not included), we begin the return trip to Arequipa, arriving in the late afternoon.
